We’re over half way through the week today so instead of show viewing this morning we walked about and took some pictures.
It wasn’t long until the first play if the Day, How to Build a Rocket. This is a bit if of a swan song to the teenage mum’s out there that battle for their child’s survival so they don’t make the same mistakes that they themselves made. You can read the full review here
Following on from that, it was time for the big one…. Six the Musical. It’s based on the wives of Henry VIII and their backstories while also focusing on them as powerful woman and how a bit of Girl power and working together can make you the strongest you can be.
While there isn’t too much of a plot, the characterisation is clever, giving each one of these historical figures a motive to drive them through. It creates a concert musical full of sass and girl power.
The highlight of the Musical is the songs. Each wife has a song each with each unique and very different. One thing is for sure, you’ll leave with at least one song stuck in your head.
The final show of the day was Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho. This is a cabaret show full of fun, frolics and men in very tight shorts. Amusing famous songs are included in the hour-long of entertainment.
