Rumour: Benidorm Live to return?

2027 marks the 20th Anniversary of the hit Sitcom Benidorm. Rumours have been swirling for a while that a reboot was on the cards for ITV.

However, today it appears Derren Little, the creator and writer of the series may have let slip that while a return to TV is no longer on the cards, he is working on bringing Benidorm to the stage.

This wouldn’t be the first time the Solana has been brought to the stage. There was a stage show launched in 2018/2019 by Little that had a number of the original cast reprise their roles. The production toured across the UK, produced by Fairy Powered productions. The show gave fans a chance to enjoy an extra dose of the sitcom live on stage after the TV series finished.

This evening, after highlighting that a range of ‘Audience with Benidorm’ events have popped up and are using the Benidorm trademarks without approval, Darren confirms ‘this is a slightly awkward situation as I have been planning a stage show for a while (since the series with ITV didn’t work out)

So there we have it, while we have no information on when this may be, it is sounding like you’ll be able to dose up on the Benidorm sun on a stage sometime in the future.
