It’s been announced that West End and Musical leading lady Kerry Ellis will star in Stafford Gatehouse’s in-house immersive production of a Midsummer’s Night Dream.
Ellis originated the role of Elphaba in the West End production of Wicked and then transferred to Broadway. Ellis also starred in other musicals including We Will Rock You, Rent, Miss Saigon, Les Miserables and many more. Ellis has also collaborated various times with Brian May as well as releasing two solo albums.
Kerry will play Titania, Queen of the Fairies, in her Shakespeare debut.
On the announcement, Kerry said: ’I am so excited to be joining the cast of A Midsummer Night’s Dream to play Titania, Queen of the Fairies. This will be a new challenge for me and I cannot wait to get going on my first Shakespeare play.’
The performance runs from June 23rd – July 9th 2023 at the Gatehouse theatre with priced at £35 (£32 Concession)
